Summary:
Our client is hiring a vital contributor to join its team in Rockford, IL. This role will serve as the primary liaison for select Aerospace, Space, and Defense customers to enhance their contract manufacturing partnerships. The Program Manager will oversee assigned accounts, ensuring customer purchase order requirements are fully understood and met. Additionally, the Program Manager will identify opportunities to broaden the scope of products and services offered to assigned customer accounts, contributing to the company’s continued growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build relationships with key decision-makers to identify new business opportunities.
- Maintain and update a sales pipeline report, adhering to company timelines.
- Coordinate internal quoting activities and recommend strategies to align customer needs with business goals.
- Develop and manage project schedules for assigned accounts, ensuring resource availability and capacity planning to meet quality, delivery, and production timelines.
- Lead responses to customer corrective actions and quality-related concerns.
- Prepare and distribute critical items reports and provide financial analysis comparing actual outcomes to expectations, offering insights to the management team.
Collaboration and Process Improvement:
- Act as a liaison between operations, sales, and quality teams to streamline activities.
- Identify lessons learned and share improvement recommendations for future projects.
Desired Skillset:
- Experience in a precision manufacturing setting is essential.
- Background in the aerospace, space, and defense sectors is required.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints is necessary.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, including milling, lathing, Swiss turning, and mill-turning, is required.
- Ability to create and execute effective business proposals is a must.
- Should possess, or be willing to develop, strong sales skills and techniques.
- Familiarity with software such as Microsoft Project, Excel, Access, Gantt charts, and other Windows-based applications is needed.
- Prior experience as a Project Manager or Program Manager is preferred.
