The HT Group is currently seeking a Safety Manager to manage a safety program across multiple states/sites. The ideal candidate will have a can-do attitude, a strong work ethic, and the ability to actively engage and support the team.
Location: Atlanta, GA – Hybrid with Travel up to 50%.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular on-site safety inspections, audits, and performance assessments to ensure training completion and monitor improvements.
- Develop a safety champion network, coaching leaders to advocate safety best practices.
- Collaborate with Safety Administrator, HR, and Operations teams to align safety goals and accountability measures across departments.
- Conduct post-accident audits with local leadership and the Safety Administrator, implementing corrective actions to prevent further incidents.
- Advocate for health and safety in the organization, supporting efforts to meet safety goals and improve performance.
- Participate in management review meetings to report on safety performance and propose strategies to improve operations.
- Develop strategies for preventing workplace incidents and illnesses, advising management on safety measures.
- Foster relationships with external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, industry associations, and environmental health authorities.
- Ensure safety program performance, including training completion, audit inspections, and proper documentation of accidents/incidents.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in EHS or equivalent experience.
- 5-7+ years leading safety programs in building services or construction, preferably HVAC/refrigeration.
- CSP or CHST certification preferred.
