The HT Group is currently seeking a Controller to manage all financial transactions and reporting for a growing manufacturing entity near Terre Haute, IN. This role will also include: management of all payments, employee payroll, monthly financial statements, year-end accounting process, compliance/managing audit requests, preparation of annual budgets and ad-hoc reporting as requested.
Location: Terre Haute, Indiana Area – 4 days onsite/1 remote
Job Responsibilities:
- Participate in the monthly financial close process, including journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, variance analysis, and consolidation of financial statements.
- Preparing financial reports, sales, expense and overhead analysis monthly
- Participate in board discussions, monthly financial reporting and other regular interaction with the President and board meeting
- Monitoring Accounts Receivable for Collections efforts
- Monitoring Accounts Payable
- Benefits Administration
- Partnering with CPA firm on annual audit and tax preparation
- Oversight of payroll process
- Financial software administration
- Manages banking relationship, including bank accounts and debt facilities
- Oversees administrative tasks, including ensuring company certifications are maintained and renewed on a timely basis
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- Minimum 6+ years of corporate accounting experience
- 2+ years’ experience in a Controller or related position preferred
- Budget creation and tracking experience
- Prior experience closing monthly financials, preferably in a manufacturing business
- Intermediate-to-advanced MS Excel proficiency
- Experience working in an ERP System
