Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Security Architect to join our team. This individual will be responsible for evaluating business needs to define security requirements, conducting comprehensive system assessments, performing risk analysis, and identifying potential integration challenges. The role also involves preparing cost projections and ensuring the architecture/platform meets security standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor security data logs and generate necessary reports. Maintain accurate records of security-related incidents when needed.
  • Administer network vulnerability scanning tools, manage application security scanners, and oversee intrusion detection/prevention systems.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders on issues related to data security and privacy compliance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems, liaising with other personnel to address issues affecting both procedural and technical aspects.
  • Conduct research to identify solutions to security concerns and provide timely recommendations.
  • Participate in resource estimation, tracking project progress, and contributing to internal committees focused on setting technical standards.
  • Ensure that all deliverables meet the organization’s quality assurance standards and guidelines.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training initiatives.
  • Manage communication with vendors, provide research support for network security projects, conduct regular audits of firewall configurations, and work closely with law enforcement when necessary.
  • Lead and drive the data privacy program, ensuring timely responses to alerts generated by data loss prevention systems.
  • Assess security design for current and future IT systems to ensure compliance with company’s information security policies and best practices.
  • Conduct reviews of various aspects of security, including operational, systems, and software security.

Required Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent technical education, with at least four (4) years of experience in information security.
  • Hands-on experience in designing and implementing security frameworks, ensuring adherence to necessary security policies and best practices to mitigate threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Proficiency in Cloud security architecture and principles.
  • Familiarity with security technologies such as IPS/IDS, Vulnerability Management, DLP, SIEM, Anti-Malware, encryption, and network security.
  • Experience with physical security management.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities.

*This will be a contract to hire, hybrid position*.
