AV/IT Support Technician
Location: Onsite, 5 days/week
Start Date: URGENT – ASAP
Job Type: Contract or Contract-to-Hire (6 months)
Overview:
We’re looking for a flexible, people-oriented AV/IT Support Technician to join a high-visibility team supporting both internal corporate technology needs and live event operations. This role offers variety in your day-to-day tasks, and the opportunity to work closely with senior technical staff in a collaborative environment.
Work Schedule:
- Full-time, onsite
- Start times may vary day-to-day (as early as 7:00 AM or as late as 7:00 PM)
- Weekend work required for live events
- ***Schedules will be shared ahead of time—no surprises***
Typical Day:
- Start the day at the Tech Office to review tickets and projects
- Transport and set up AV equipment (e.g., TVs, projectors, speakers, microphones) at various event spaces
- Return and properly store equipment after use
- Respond to a range of corporate tech support tickets—from simple tasks like replacing toner to more complex troubleshooting
- Collaborate with teammates including the Network Engineer, Senior AV Specialist, and Manager when issues escalate
Technical Skills & Experience:
AV Skills:
- Experience setting up TVs, microphones, speaker systems for events
- Familiarity with routing music/audio to selected zones
- Background in event support, concerts, or school AV setups is highly valued
IT Skills:
- Tier 1 IT support experience in a professional setting
- Comfortable with both basic troubleshooting and collaborating on complex issues
Tools & Systems:
- Primary ticketing tools: Asana and Outlook
- Ticketing system: any is acceptable
- Jira for project tracking
Bonus Skills That Will Stand Out:
- Cisco experience
- Music playback or stage/event setup experience
- Background in environments like concerts, production crews, or school districts
- A strong team player with a positive attitude and solid people skills
