Job Title: Database Administrator (Oracle Focus)
Description:
We are looking for an experienced Database Administrator to support the performance, integrity, and reliability of large-scale, enterprise application databases. This role involves managing production environments, optimizing database performance, and developing data models in support of key reporting and application services. The ideal candidate will have deep experience with Oracle technologies and strong skills in database architecture, monitoring, and scripting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide on-call and operational support for complex enterprise database environments.
- Collaborate with teams on logical and physical data modeling tasks.
- Monitor and tune performance of Oracle databases, addressing issues like locking and bottlenecks.
- Manage and validate database backups and recovery procedures.
- Create and maintain stored procedures, functions, and custom scripts.
- Generate usage statistics and support schema-level reporting across Development, UAT, and Production environments.
- Support Agile software development processes and document system architecture and changes.
- Participate in on-call rotation as needed.
Minimum Requirements
6 Years of experience in the following:
* Experience in Oracle database design, analysis, and performance tuning
* Experience with Oracle structures, data analysis, and optimization
* Experience designing enterprise applications and/or services
* Creating technical and functional design documentation
* Familiarity with Agile development (Scrum or equivalent)
* Multi-tier application development (SOA, Microservices, etc.)
Preferred:
4 Years – Experience with data warehouse tools or database reporting environments
1 Year – Jira experience
1 Year – Oracle certification
