Little Black Dress Soirée and Beau Too benefits local disadvantaged women
AUSTIN, TX — Dress for Success Austin will host its fourth annual Little Black Dress Soirée and Beau Too Fundraiser, offering supporters an elegant evening with proceeds benefiting the local organization. This year’s event will take place on Saturday, September 17 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Palazzo Lavaca located at 1614 Lavaca Street, which was once the Capital Saddlery building and was recently transformed into a luxurious event space. The occasion will honor founders and founding board members Jennifer Chambers, Lisa Kaufman, and founding board member Stacy Herrington.
“This location will be a beautiful backdrop to honor three incredible women who’ve worked tirelessly to make the Austin affiliate of Dress for Success a reality,” said Judy Chambers, Executive Director at Dress for Success Austin.
At this signature event and fundraiser, proceeds will benefit programming operations, as well as Healthy Living, Financial Literacy, Personal Improvement and Transportation initiatives. Attendees will don their favorite “little black dresses” and bring their beaus to enjoy an evening of gourmet bites, libations, music, auctions and games. Limited tickets are available for the purchase price of $75 each. Over forty local and national businesses, as well as individuals, will sponsor the event. Media sponsor Austin Woman Magazine, and in-kind contributors such as Premiere Events and Parties, Kendra Scott, Westbank Cleaners, Deep Eddy Vodka, Treaty Oak Whiskey, and Bogle Wines will create a magical night for a great cause. The event will feature music by The Lucky Strikes trio and Bruce Smith, and food by Pascal’s Catering and Chocolaterie Tessa.
“The motivation behind the launch of Dress for Success Austin was the idea of women helping women. It’s the same motivation that our volunteers have when they join the organization,” said Lisa Kaufman, Co-Founder and Founding Board Member at Dress for Success Austin. “We currently have over 200 active volunteers and our success is grounded in the support of our community.”
