Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day accounting processes, including invoice management, customer payments, vendor payments, reconciliations, and reporting
- Manage cash flow, banking, and banking processes (deposits, transfers, wire funds, etc.)
- Collaborate with a payroll specialist to manage payroll taxes and process payroll reporting
- Oversee local, state, and federal tax compliance, including property, sales, and use taxes
- Provide financial reports to senior management and assist with profitability improvements
- Support financial close-out procedures and reconciliation with owners and CPA
- In-depth knowledge of financial statements, reporting, and profit and loss
- Develop and manage weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual plans aligned with company MBO goals
- Manage vendor relationships with insurance providers, banking partners, and the company CPA
- Supervise and develop Accounting Department, conducting regular meetings, performance reviews, and annual development plans
- Manage HR processes: including new hires, benefits, payroll, W2s, employee records and oversee insurance coverage
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Preferred experience in industrial distribution (welding, plumbing, mill supply, safety, electrical, etc.)
- Over 5 years of experience in a Controller or similar role
