We are currently seeking an IT Field Systems Support Engineer to support our clients stores in the Chicago area. The Field Support Engineer will be responsible for supporting an assigned group from both hardware and software including providing remote support to designated stores.  This requires on-site store visits on a regular basis for upgrades and functionality checks. This role will require overnight travel and some nights/weekends. 

What you will be doing:

  • You will provide timely and efficient Information Technology service resolution for supported equipment and take ownership and responsibility of tasks
  • You will ensure strict adherence to escalation procedures and strong engagement with other key stakeholders
  • You will deploy of new and replacement Information Technology equipment            
  • You will be responsible for the configuration of Information Technology equipment
  • You will Re-image Information Technology equipment if required
  • You will ensure that store performance and reliability of IT platforms are maintained within agreed service levels
  • You will decommission Information Technology equipment and manage at a local level
  • You will engage with Service Desk and Production Support – including Incidents via Footprints
  • You will be 2nd level support for all Information Technology Desktop operating systems and associated software deployments

What we are looking for:

  • You will need 2-4 years of experience in Information Technology Field Service Support
  • You will need a strong knowledge of Information Technology, Infrastructure, Operating Systems, and software
  • You will need have excellent customer service skills with a focus on delivering quality services
  • You will need a bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Software, or IT Engineering
  • If you have a master’s degree, that is a plus
