The HT Group seeking a highly motivated and experienced Interim Supply Chain Director to lead our manufacturing client’s inventory and supply chain planning functions. This is a critical role responsible for optimizing inventory levels, improving forecast accuracy, and ensuring smooth supply chain operations during a period of growth and acquisition. In addition, the role will assess current transportation strategies and assist with team management and mentoring.

 The ideal candidate will be a hands-on with a proven track record of success in inventory management, demand planning, and supply chain optimization. This is a temporary assignment with the potential for extension.
Responsibilities:
* Inventory Management:
* Develop and implement inventory strategies that align with business objectives, balancing service levels with inventory holding costs.
* Establish and monitor key inventory metrics (e.g., inventory turnover, days of supply, obsolescence) and drive continuous improvement.
* Optimize inventory control parameters (e.g., safety stock, reorder points, order quantities) to minimize stockouts and excess inventory.
* Lead the development and implementation of inventory reduction initiatives.
* Oversee cycle counting and physical inventory processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
* Demand Planning & Forecasting:
* Collaborate with sales, marketing, and finance teams to develop accurate demand forecasts.
* Implement and maintain a robust demand planning process, leveraging statistical forecasting techniques and market intelligence.
* Analyze historical data, market trends, and promotional activities to improve forecast accuracy.
* Manage the demand planning system and ensure data integrity.
* Communicate forecast changes and potential risks to relevant stakeholders.
* Supply Chain Planning:
* Develop and implement a comprehensive supply chain planning process, encompassing demand planning, supply planning, and capacity planning.
* Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and components.
* Optimize production schedules to meet customer demand and minimize production costs.
* Identify and mitigate supply chain risks.
* Improve supply chain visibility and responsiveness.

* Leadership & Collaboration:
* Lead and mentor the inventory and supply chain planning team.
* Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
* Effectively communicate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, operations, and finance.
* Build strong relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders.
* System Optimization:
* Evaluate and recommend improvements to existing ERP and planning systems.
* Lead the implementation of new systems or modules, as needed.
* Ensure data integrity and accuracy within the planning systems.
