IT Manager (5 days onsite Austin, Texas)

A leading manufacturing company is seeking an experienced IT Manager to oversee and optimize its technology infrastructure. This role is responsible for ensuring the seamless operation of all IT systems, including hardware, software, networks, and cybersecurity. The IT Manager will lead a team of IT professionals, support daily operations, and develop strategies to align technology with business growth.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • IT Infrastructure Management: Oversee all IT systems, ensuring reliability, security, and efficiency.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor IT staff, conducting performance evaluations and professional development.
  • Network & Systems Security: Monitor and protect systems, manage firewalls, and implement security protocols.
  • Budget & Vendor Oversight: Manage the IT budget and maintain vendor relationships to ensure cost-effective solutions.
  • Technical Support: Provide IT support and troubleshooting to resolve system-related issues efficiently.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop long-term IT strategies to support business objectives and technological advancements.
  • System Upgrades & Implementations: Lead technology projects, from research to execution.
  • Data Backup & Compliance: Ensure secure data storage, disaster recovery planning, and compliance with industry standards.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Maintain IT records and provide updates to senior management on system performance.


WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
We’re seeking a motivated professional with strong leadership and technical skills, capable of driving innovation and efficiency. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and thrives in a collaborative environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT management or a similar role.
  • Expertise in IT systems, networking, and cybersecurity.
  • Experience leading IT teams and managing technology projects.
  • Knowledge of cloud computing, virtualization, and modern IT solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Experience with budgeting and vendor negotiations.
  • Preferred certifications: ITIL, CompTIA, Cisco, Microsoft.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Experience with IT service management and ERP systems.
  • Understanding of data security regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS).
