The HT Group is seeking a proactive Medical Records & Transcription Associate for our client in San Antonio TX. This role involves producing and managing medical record summaries based on physician instructions. The ideal candidate should thrive in a fast-paced environment, excel at multitasking, and handle multiple projects simultaneously. Pay: $19.23/hour
Model: Contract until the end of year
Schedule: 8:30am-5:30pm Monday-Friday
**Fully In Office**
Requirements:
- 6+ months of experience in medical transcription or related medical office roles; or 60 accredited hours in Biology, Anatomy, or Chemistry.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Adobe Reader, and web-based systems.
- Strong grammatical skills and ability to maintain HIPAA confidentiality standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a typing speed of 50 WPM and capability to work in a sedentary position for extended periods
Desired:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Anatomy, Chemistry, or a related field, or equivalent experience, with a preference for familiarity with medical terminology.
- Medical Scribe background is highly preferred, with experience in transcribing various medical reports across multiple specialties.
- Intermediate knowledge of human anatomy, major disease processes, pharmacology, and medical codes (CPT, HCPCS, ICD-9/10 CM, MS-DRG).
- Demonstrated ability to transcribe and review medical records for accuracy in spelling, grammar, clarity, and medical terminology.
