The HT Group is looking for an experienced Operations Manager to oversee all Texas locations for a client in the Golden Triangle, with the position based in Beaumont, Texas. The ideal candidate will have strong operational, customer service, business development, and negotiation skills, and will ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards. This is a direct hire opportunity offering a salary range of $100k-$125k, with excellent growth potential for a long-term career.
Responsibilities:
- Direct assistant managers and supervisors to ensure efficient operation of facilities, equipment, and staff
- Create and monitor budgets, review financials, and provide operational feedback to enhance profitability
- Oversee all warehouse operations – receiving, storing, shipping, invoicing, maintenance
- Market company services to new and existing customers, attend events, and represent the company as the face of the Golden Triangle area
- Collaborate with accounting to develop bids
- Oversee reports, inventory counts, and staff performance while ensuring compliance with Union agreements
- Foster a team atmosphere, recommend staffing changes, and maintain professional relationships with Union leadership and customers
- Ensure safety, stay updated on regulations and trends, and audit operations for compliance
- Serve on the Safety Committee, meet production goals, and uphold quality standards
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent years of experience
- Experience in industrial settings – manufacturing, construction, warehouse, petrochemical, etc
- Experienced in MS Word and Excel
- Must have the ability to work on call 24/7
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, and lift 50 pounds / Ability to work in varying environments (hot, cold, dusty, noisy)
- Ability to mount/dismount a forklift, and wear required PPE
- Detail-oriented, able to multitask, manage staff dynamics, and maintain productivity
- Lead, negotiate, resolve conflicts, and perform public speaking or training
