The HT Group is currently hiring for a QA/QC Manager with experience in commercial construction. This is a full-time direct-hire position based in Mississippi

The Quality Control Manager leads and coordinates all quality operations for construction projects, ensuring compliance with quality policies and practices. The role involves overseeing daily quality activities, collaborating with teams to meet project goals, and implementing quality management plans. Responsibilities include training, risk prevention, conducting site inspections, and maintaining quality documentation.

Responsbilities:

  • Develop and implement processes for 100% compliant work
  • Collaborate with project teams, subcontractors, and external stakeholders
  • Promote quality as a core value within the organization
  • Assist in creating and managing project-specific quality management plans
  • Conduct site visits, inspections, and reviews of specifications, codes, and drawings
  • Oversee daily QC activities and document quality control measures (e.g., NCR log, QC reports)
  • Participate in meetings, reviews, and inspections to ensure compliance with contract requirements
  • Conduct and document preparatory and weekly QC meetings
  • Ensure safety compliance and support the site safety program
  • Provide training and coaching on quality risks, prevention, and resolution
  • Stay current with advancements in quality management technology
  • Enforce the organization’s code of conduct and core values, and ensure adherence to safety protocols

Qualifications:

  • Preferably a degree in Quality Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years in quality control supervision and 5 years in industrial/commercial construction
  • Experience with large, complex quality plans
  • In-depth knowledge of construction standards, building codes, and project types
  • Proficient in Procore, Viewpoint, SharePoint, and MS Office
  • Strong leadership, collaboration, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Time management, organizational abilities, and adaptability
