The HT Group is currently partnering with an established engineering consultancy in the search for a qualified Regional Finance Director opportunity supporting the firm’s Central U.S. operations. 

This will be a “mostly” remote role with 3-4 in-office days per month.  This individual must reside in the Austin, TX metro.

Direct Hire – Mostly Remote (Needs to be based in Austin) – Base Up to $165K + bonus
 
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
 

  • Lead management reporting, including operational KPI’s, dashboards, business trends and performance vs plan to deliver weekly financial updates, monthly performance analyses and quarterly rolling forecasts.
  • Lead preparation of the semi-annual planning process and maintain the rolling three-year financial plan.
  • Lead initiatives to continuously improve and automate forecasting and reporting tools and processes.
  • Manage quarterly financial update process for investors and be the main point of contact.
  • Interpret and present key findings directly to and engage with senior leadership across multiple functions.
  • Create analyses, commentary and presentation materials for Board and leadership meetings.
  • Create financial models to help evaluate and assess new business opportunities and strategic partnerships.
  • Partner with functional business teams to provide value-added business insight and decision support.

Qualifications:
 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, a related field, or relevant work experience. Master’s/MBA a plus.
  • 10+ years of Finance/FP&A experience preferably in an engineering or professional services setting.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills.
  • SQL, Tableau, Power BI, and/or Alteryx experience to analyze large datasets.
  • Strong ERP exposure and experience with Deltek systems a plus.
  • Self-starter who is able thrive in a dynamic environment under short timelines and changing priorities.
  • Superior analytical, modeling and presentation skills.
  • Superior problem-solving skills and ability to communicate effectively with executive management.
  • Detail-oriented to ensure accuracy and quality of output.
  • Must be a “self-starter” with a can-do attitude and execution mindset.
  • Strong business acumen with ability to see “big picture” and strategize.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to work effectively with business units.
