The HT Group has a client that is need of a Sr. Accountant. The ideal candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and have 5 years of experience, preferably with a background in public and/or private industry.
- 5 years of general ledger accounting experience with increasing responsibilities, preferably in a large, public company.
- In-depth knowledge of US GAAP.
- Intermediate proficiency in Excel, including working with complex tables and X-lookups.
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including journal entry preparation.
- Review expenses at the cost center level for accuracy and to identify key trends.
- Actively participate in both external and internal audit activities.
- Perform financial analysis and assist in refining analysis, processes, and controls.
- Ensure proper calculation, support, and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
- Complete additional accounting duties as assigned, including ad hoc projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines.
