Job Title: Senior IT Project Manager (Onsite 5 days a week in Austin, Texas)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all phases of complex, technology-driven projects from initiation through completion.
  • Ensure project milestones and deliverables align with established development methodologies, quality standards, and technical/security requirements.
  • Coordinate with both internal teams and external partners to plan, assign, monitor, and assess work within a matrixed environment.
  • Define and oversee deliverable expectations, including content, quality standards, review processes, and acceptance criteria.
  • Maintain high-quality output by resolving challenges related to project standards and work products.
  • Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, staffing needs, and cost projections.
  • Serve as the main communication link between project stakeholders, leadership, and vendor/contractor teams.
  • Evaluate and monitor performance of third-party vendors and contractors.
  • Document and maintain detailed system and business requirements.

Required Skills and Experience:
8+ years of experience in the following:

  • Leading enterprise-level IT projects through the full development lifecycle.
  • Utilizing structured development and project management frameworks, including estimation, scope control, risk mitigation, and issue resolution.
  • Coordinating project deliverables and timelines across distributed teams with diverse technical and functional backgrounds.
  • Conducting business analysis, identifying system needs, and translating those into technical solutions.
  • Facilitating business process mapping, reengineering, and identifying opportunities for technology-driven improvements.
  • Documenting comprehensive and precise requirements for technology implementations.

5+ years of experience in the following:

  • Managing IT projects within or for a large public-sector organization.
  • Developing solicitation documents such as Requests for Information (RFI), Requests for Offer (RFO), and Statements of Work (SOW).
  • Gathering requirements across multiple divisions or locations with varying needs and constraints.
  • Working with statewide technology initiatives, including cloud migrations and centralized infrastructure services.
  • Applying established state or federal project delivery methodologies (e.g., project governance frameworks).

Preferred Experience:

  • At least 1 year of hands-on experience working with Salesforce platforms and tools.
