The Technical Operations Manager oversees all operational teams, including Networking, Hardware Fulfilment & Support, Technical Project Management, and Research & Development. This role requires experience working with digital signage (DooH media) either currently or in the past.
Responsibilities:
- Plan for the long-term by launching initiatives that align with overall goals, actively pursuing both strategic and operational objectives, while adapting to market and industry shifts.
- Facilitate collaboration across teams to promote learning and knowledge-sharing between departments.
- Review and evaluate department budgets to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve profits, ensuring all activities stay on schedule and within budget.
- Develop tools to efficiently collect data, update operational metrics, and meet productivity targets, minimizing unit costs, errors, and delays while enhancing the customer experience.
- Ensure timely communication with management, staff, and vendors to keep operations running smoothly and regularly update executives on shifting priorities and projects.
- Improve the effectiveness of existing processes and procedures to build the organization’s internal capacity, while monitoring staffing needs and recruitment requirements.
- Supervise the deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of all operational environments, including both private and public cloud infrastructure.
- Manage hardware orders, deployments, and oversee inventory, warehouse operations, and freight shipments.
- Serve as a hardware expert during client meetings, working with the Sales Department to identify the best solutions to meet client needs.
- Help coordinate and schedule maintenance activities in collaboration with customer stakeholders.
- Lead the research and development process by exploring hardware and software options, conducting testing, and documenting results. Provide mentorship to staff and support training on hardware and software solutions.
- Track staff performance using Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), offering coaching and addressing performance challenges as necessary.
Qualifications for the Job:
- REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree in program management, business or public administration, technical management, information systems, engineering, or related fields.
- 5+ years of operations management and mid-level leadership experience, with a SaaS or IT company is preferred.
- 3+ years of recent overall project management experience, Project Management Professional (PMP) Certificate.
- A thorough understanding of financial and budgeting processes and principles.
- Knowledge of general business software and aptitude to learn new applications; proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Salesforce, TeamViewer or other remote management tool, Jira, and AWS.
- Knowledge of Android Hardware, Windows, and networking.
