Executive Business & Technology Strategic Thinking
Series
Organizations are rapidly transforming themselves using both strategic thinking
and digital transformation initiatives to achieve higher profits, increased
growth, and sustained competitiveness.
This unique series of lunch and learn events presents an opportunity to look at
a much deeper level into the business transformation and technology approaches
and methods being used by the cutting edge start-ups and mid-sized companies
here in Austin. These lunches are also a chance to see the related strategies
being used by very large enterprises that have been studied by University of
Texas researchers. Each of the three presentations is focused on practical
innovative learning for c-suite executives, as well as upper level IT
management.
Delivered by Russ Finney in a sequence of three monthly luncheon events, each
specific topic covers the current fundamental best practices being used by the
top performing organizations studied through both UT research and years of
direct client engagements.
Russ draws his insights as a business and strategy lecturer within the
University of Texas – McCombs School of Business, as a researcher with the
itmWEB Group, and as an advisory partner with the Stratamation Network. He is a
frequent keynote speaker, and this year he completed a series of video
interviews on “work reimagined” with the Wall Street Journal.
Prior to his current research and teaching, Russ worked as a CIO in the
semiconductor, aerospace, and financial services industries for many years. In
2016, he was named a Top 5 executive CIO Influencer through social media by
Apollo Research (@rfinney). He started his career at Ernst & Young.
